Most employers require that workers receive a minimum of 10 hours of OSHA training prior to their employment. OSHA Construction Training

The 10 Hour OSHA Construction Training Course provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in the workplace. The program also provides information regarding workers rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint.

The 10 Hour OSHA course is intended for entry level construction workers while the 30 hour OSHA course is better suited for individuals with some safety responsibility.

 

OSHA 10 NY Requirement

Starting March 1st, 2018 every worker on a site requiring a construction superintendent, Site Safety Coordinator, Or Site Safety Manager must have atleast have an 10 Hour OSHA Card. These job sites account for the majority of the construction sites in NYC.
